What is YallaMashoor?
YallaMashoor is a public discovery board where creators, founders and early adopters can launch, discover and discuss startups, software, services and businesses built in or meaningfully built for the MENA region.
Who operates YallaMashoor?
YallaMashoor is operated by Basha Technology Solutions LLC, based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Why was YallaMashoor created?
The MENA region's founders and local businesses deserve a dedicated stage. YallaMashoor gives teams building in or for the MENA region a simple, affordable place to be discovered and receive community feedback.
What does a founder receive after publishing?
A published listing appears on the public board with its own shareable product page, direct product link, category, social links and community reactions. YallaMashoor does not guarantee traffic, ranking position or commercial results.
Listings and submissions
What can I submit?
You can submit legitimate product websites, SaaS applications, mobile apps, digital services, developer tools, GitHub projects and official public product pages that are built by MENA-based founders or teams, or meaningfully built for customers in the MENA region. Optional supported social profiles can be added alongside the primary link. Listings that do not meet this MENA eligibility rule may be removed during moderation.
What is not allowed?
Group-chat invitations, adult or NSFW services, phishing, malware, scams, unlawful content, impersonation and misleading listings are not permitted. Read the full Rules before submitting.
Can the same product be listed more than once?
No. YallaMashoor checks the submitted product URL for an existing record, including drafts and listings awaiting publication. Do not use tracking parameters or alternate URLs to create duplicates.
Can I update or remove my listing?
YallaMashoor does not currently provide self-service listing editing or deletion. Contact hello@yallamashoor.com for a correction or removal request. We may ask you to verify that you own or represent the listing.
Ranking and reactions
How is the leaderboard ranked?
The score is calculated as Toast × 3 + Meh × 1 − Roast × 1. If scores are equal, the more recently published listing appears first. The “This Week”, “This Month” and “All Time” controls determine which launches are included in the current view.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Payment and badge verification are two ways to publish, not bids for position. YallaMashoor does not offer paid votes or ranking boosts.
What are Toast, Meh and Roast?
They are YallaMashoor's three community reactions. Toast is positive and celebratory, Meh is balanced and skeptical, and Roast is playful criticism aimed at the product or its positioning.
How is the reaction text created?
YallaMashoor sends the public product name, tagline and selected reaction type through its moderated AI generation flow. The member can approve the generated sentence, regenerate it once or discard it.
Can reactions be moderated?
Yes. YallaMashoor can hide reactions that are abusive, discriminatory, unsafe, spammy or otherwise violate the Rules. Hidden reactions stop contributing to the listing's displayed reaction count.
Payments and badges
How much does it cost to publish?
You can pay a one-time $1 USD listing fee through Stripe, or publish for free by adding the YallaMashoor badge to your website and passing badge verification. The amount shown at Stripe checkout is authoritative.
How does paid publishing work?
YallaMashoor creates a Stripe Checkout session. Once Stripe confirms the completed payment, the listing is marked as published. YallaMashoor stores payment status and provider identifiers, but never receives your full card details.
How does free badge publishing work?
Add the provided badge snippet to your website and submit the listing for review. In the current manual-review mode, the YallaMashoor team checks that the badge is visible and links to the expected product page, then approves it or requests changes by email.
Can I remove the badge after approval?
The free publishing option requires the approved badge to remain visible and correctly linked. YallaMashoor may remove a badge-funded listing if the badge is removed or altered.
Can I request a refund?
Listing payments are final and non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. A lower rank, limited traffic or later moderation does not create a right to a refund.
Accounts and support
Do I need an account?
Browsing is public. A Clerk-authenticated account is required to submit a listing, begin checkout, manage badge verification or create a community reaction.
What account information does YallaMashoor store?
YallaMashoor stores the Clerk user identifier, email address and, when available, display name and avatar. See the Privacy Policy for the complete breakdown.
